Exciting Women's Action

Interlachen Country Club in Edina (an affluent suburb of Minneapolis) is hosting the LPGA's US Women's Open this weekend. This tournament is shaping up to be exciting and worth a look for sports fans everywhere. Tomorrow a national champion will be crowned and there will be much celebrating. Tune in and you may see an emotional awards presentation.

What the hell is that trophy supposed to be!?!?! And what is she doing with it? I heard they were going to do some swimsuit photos with some of the LPGA ladies. But this is going too far.

We may have to move the broadcast to Showtime.

Anyway, I got a ticket to the final round for Fathers' Day, so maybe I could be the official unofficial NIGP correspondent at the Open. I will be posting a summary at my blog, which should be easy to find from here.

I would live-blog it, but since I don't have media credentials I couldn't get my laptop in anyway. Besides, I wouldn't have enough battery life.

I could make some cheap joke speculating on a number of LPGA players' desires centered more on the Taco Bell Open trophy, but that would just be improper.
